Finding the right agency isn't a procurement problem. It's a fit problem.
Agency Fit is a structured process that helps organisations find a technology partner that matches not just their requirements — but their culture, values, ways of working, and long-term ambitions.
Let's talk →Most technology selection processes start with a spreadsheet. Capability checklists. Pricing grids. Reference calls with clients the agency selected themselves.
What they rarely surface is whether you'll actually work well together. Whether the agency's delivery culture matches yours. Whether their values align with how you treat your customers. Whether they'll still be the right partner in three years, not just three months.
A bad agency fit is expensive. Not just financially — in lost momentum, misaligned expectations, and the internal political cost of admitting it isn't working.
Agency Fit is designed to get you to the right answer faster, with less waste on both sides.
Discovery
I work with the people who will actually be affected — not just the project sponsor. That means understanding your needs across teams, timelines, budgets, and working styles. Short-term requirements and long-term ambitions. What's worked before and what hasn't.
The Brief
Everything from discovery is synthesised into a clear brief — reviewed and accepted by you before anything goes to market. Not a 60-page RFP. A precise, honest document that gives agencies what they need to respond meaningfully.
Partner Outreach
I take the brief to a curated set of agencies. I brief them directly, gauge genuine interest and capacity, and give them the context they need to respond well. This replaces the scatter-gun RFP approach that wastes time on both sides.
Selection Support
I help you evaluate responses, run structured conversations with shortlisted agencies, and make a decision you're confident in. The goal is a clear recommendation — and the reasoning behind it.
Organisations embarking on a technology or platform implementation who want to find the right agency partner — not just an available one.
Businesses that have been through a difficult agency relationship and want a more rigorous, human-centred process this time.
Teams that don't have the internal bandwidth or ecosystem knowledge to run a selection process themselves.
How this works commercially
Agency Fit can be retained directly by you as the client. In some cases, I also work with smaller agencies as a commercial partner — helping them respond to RFPs, develop client strategy, build growth plans, manage existing relationships, and collaborate more effectively within the ecosystem.
These are different engagements with different mandates. When I'm working on your behalf to find the right agency, that is the only job I'm doing.
Moxie89 remains in contact with both parties after an introduction to make sure the relationship is working. A match that doesn't hold is not one I can build on.
